Cooking with Silken Tofu
Soft tofu is good for recipes that call for blended
tofu. It is much less dense than the other types of tofu. It is ideal for
blending into dressings and sauces. It can be used to reduce the amount
of egg in a recipe and to replace sour cream or yoghurt. Soft tofu is also
lower in both protein & fat.
Silken tofu has a much finer consistency than other forms of tofu. It is
a creamy product and can be also used as a replacement for sour cream in
many dip recipes.
Soya
King Silken Tofu can also be used for all recipes that call for blended
tofu
(i.e. soft tofu).
Silken tofu is versatile and can also be fried and steamed and cooked in
stir-frys. ABC's celebrity chef Kylie Kwong has created some amazing and
unique dishes using Soya King Silken Tofu.
